Wi Fi Insider broadly provides the following services:
- Feasibility and Estimation - WiFi Insider routinely performs in-depth
study and analysis of a client's requirements and maps them into functional
modules. Complex functional modules are further partitioned into reasonably
orthogonal sub-modules that have the fewest dependencies. Suitable
interfaces are proposed for interaction between the modules and sub-modules
and the complexity of the entire implementation is estimated to a high
degree of precision.
- Architecture and Design - WiFi Insider also helps clients develop
detailed design specifications that serve as a starting point for
implementation either in-house or outsourced to third parties.
- Implementation and Verification - WiFi Insider has the capabilities to
undertake medium sized projects for implementation. A rigorous methodology
is followed to deliver a high quality implementation; highly talented
developers, use of source code analysis tools like Coverity right from the
initial stages along with a high code coverage unit testing and continuous
regression testing in the final stages make this possible.
- Integration - Most often, WiFi Insider's clientele seeks fast and
effective integration services. WiFi Insider adds, modifies, customizes and
tailors reference design source code provided by chip and IP vendors to
shipment ready final products.
- Knowledge Transfer - WiFi Insider can provide onsite instructor led
knowledge transfer classes to help client's teams come up to speed and
quickly become productive. WiFi Insider's considerable knowledge and
expertise with radio front-ends, antenna multiplexors, transmit/receive
chains and AGCs, baseband processing, noise tolerance along with higher
level MAC features are very invaluable in bringing to market a quality
product.

WiFi Insider's key differentiators are the vast domain expertise in embedded
system development and in IEEE 802.11
- Software controlled radios provide a very high degree of flexibility to
design highly customized solutions. Data rates, modulation schemes, channel
width, link security, noise and spur immunity, transmit power, MAC protocol
may all be modified or fine tuned to more effectively address the
requirements.
- BSPs and boot loaders for Linux, VxWorks and other RTOSes for a
range of processor architectures including but not limited to PowerPC, ARM
and MIPS. WiFi Insider has helped developed BSPs for Linux and u-boot boot
loaders for several of Atheros' AP platforms like AP91, AP93, PB45.
